It’s spring – days are getting longer and snow is melting. I’m actually starting to look forward to summer. Since I’m getting hyped up about the summer already it’s a good time to start making some changes in advance. Slowly working my way towards the goals of feeling great and being more present. I mean who doesn’t want to make most of their summertime? And it’s fun to look forward and plan things.

Celebrating minor progress

Martial arts are fun and versatile way to move yourself.

POV to consider: If you purposefully start making even the smallest but still consistent effort of exercise it’s going to give you more energy in a few months. With mental struggles even a 30 minute walk is going to give benefits. And there are tons or short and sweaty micro workouts for a busy week so there is literally no excuse.

GrowWithJo has been my go-to Youtube channel for short workouts:

Stretching also improves life quality greatly. I’m aiming to remind myself daily of that. When waiting for water to boil a short Tai Chi exercise or making squats? If finding it hard to wait for something to happen it’s a good micro break to use for small reps! And after starting to feel more active it’s easier to stay active.

Decluttering

I still have the expansions on physical form. Subscribed for some gametime to play BTC Anniversary.

Spring is great time for reflecting. To think about what would you like your summer to be like and what kind of things you want to get back to in the next fall. A time for new beginnings and preparation. In the beginning changes can be small but when efforts stack over time they are life changing. New beginnings and rituals can start with something so small than decluttering your thoughts and closet.

Sometimes I like to just stop and take a moment for re-organizing. Clothing items I forgot I have and think I’ll never be using again and some fun pieces that I want to use more since (they still fit *sigh* and) I still like them. Items that I’ve kept since they are related to memories I hold dear. Trip down a memory lane and re-thinking own clothing style with existing pieces is a good opportunity to think things a person wants to do in the future.

After cleaning closet, dumping old items that are not needed anymore to the flea market mind may also be a bit clearer. Try writing down things you wish to do and to experience during this year. Sometimes it’s easier to see what kind of efforts are needed when seeing the wanted outcomes on paper. After knowing what you want you’ll figure out what steps might get you there.

Change is hard

Trying out low-calorie 0% beers and I’ve been using Collagen Protein -powder in my morning coffee. It consists of bovine peptides and is the only supplement I use regularly.

Changes needed to re-purpose your life are not always easy or pleasant. You might end up cutting ties with people that don’t appreciate your time to make space for new ones. You might be giving up on habits that we’re used for self-soothing by replacing them with new ones. But intention and prioritizing creates clarity and self-assurance.

Start small and built on repetition – you can do it!

The underrated thing about chilly, rainy spring weather is the air after the rain has stopped. Have you tried going on a walk or run after the rain? The dust is settled on a wet ground so it might be a relief to a person with allergies. The air will be so refreshing!
