Not gonna lie – making video material in a long time is really awkward. Previous times when I was editing videos I was just focusing on editing. I didn’t film the material. I actually prefer the editing and find it fun. I just wanted to film some material so that I could make new samples of my editing and try to see if I could make some extra money beside the studies.

OBS and Premiere

Haven’t been recording video footage in years so had a painfull realization. OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) will make it easier for me to record with pre amp at the same time as using Canon as the video source so that I don’t have to sync image and sound afterwards. It felt like a really good plan at first. Then I noticed that the default format for OBS output doesn’t work directly with Adobe Premiere version I have.

Deep sigh


Crying out loud! Next time I’ll make sure not to forget the file output format.. It’s going to take a chunk of time just to convert the material for editing. Next time I’ll make sure I’ve double checked the video output settings.

Working things out

I’m casually looking into job openings while studying but the IT industry has been in a turmoil. So I thought to myself maybe I should be open to do something else to make some money. And see If I manage to work on my own projects. I’m still not feeling a 100 percent but I try to get myself to do as much as I can on regular weekdays.

I’ll be brainstorming and creating something new but I take my time since I have to constantly learn something new on the go or update my knowledge. And there’s only so much capacity I have during a day. I try to recognize my limits and avoid feeling too overwhelmed. I get tired in less than the regular 8-hours so balancing is the key.

Mood after layoffs

A tiny progress

I’m kind of happy to see that I’ve actually started to get some things done. And I’ve been more consistent with writing practise too. Hoping to get more fit for summer and started working towards that goal already. I’m working towards being more consistent with everything. Reminding myself that every time I’m able to do even just a little it’s always better than nothing.

Hope those aren’t my famous last words before re-lapsing to a bag of chips and doomscrolling.
